The company places strong emphasis on Safety & Health for its employees. More specifically, the Safety and Health Policy of the company states:

• It shall be the policy of the company to practice and maintain a high standard of safety and health in the work environment.
• It shall also be the policy of the management to educate and instruct its employees on all areas of safety pertaining to their job functions and work environment.
• The Safety & Health Committee is to continuously ensure that all requirements on safety and health matters as stipulated in the Occupational and Safety Act 1994 and the Factory and Machinery Act 1967 are adhered to.

As a result of its association with Tata Stell International, EP is also greatly influenced by Corus policy on Safety and Health for their world wide operations both in the factory as well as site operations.
